jolly rancher lollipops

while deciding what treats to have at marina's rainbow birthday party tomorrow, the jolly rancher lollipops that i saw on pinterest came to mind... the idea originally came from the blog a little art can't hurt, which you can check out here...

these were super easy to make with a very cute end result...

 step 1...
buy some jolly rancher candies... preheat your oven to 275 degrees...

step 2...
place some foil on a baking sheet and lightly spray with cooking spray {just a little spritzing... you don't need much... it's just so the finished lollipop doesn't stick to the foil...}

step 3...
line up 3 unwrapped jolly rancher candies in a row on your prepared foil so that they are touching {as seen below}

step 4...
bake jolly rancher candies in preheated oven for 8-9 minutes... {please keep an eye on them because you don't want them to melt too much...}

step 5...
take your lollipop stick and press it into the melted candies and twist it once so that the stick is covered... you have to work fast because the candies harden pretty quickly...
let them cool for approximately 30 minutes...

i purchased little cellophane bags to place over the finished lollies...

then i took snippets of colorful, patterned ribbons and tied a small piece around the bottom of the cellophane bag...

i placed a piece of floral foam into a glass container and added some bright pink, light pink and white crinkle paper in for filler to disguise it...

then i tucked the lollipops in here and there so that they were arranged nicely...

i think it will be a fun addition to the candy buffet that we are having...

keep this in mind for future parties you may be having... they're easy and can be made in any color combination...  pink {watermelon} and red {cherry} would be fun for a class valentine's day treat :)...

have a happy day~
