ten on 1-10-13

have you heard about the ten on ten photo project? {if not, you can check it out here...} i kind of love the idea... the whole gist of ten on ten is to capture 10 moments throughout your day... a photo an hour for 10 hours... on the 10th of each month... it's to help with remembering the little moments that make up our everyday lives...

i thought i'd give it a try today...

first up... a trip to the dunk... 2 girls missed 2 buses and needed dropped off at 2 different schools... off to a good start so a dunkaccino was in order...
came home to finally take down the rest of our christmas decorations... boring pic but it's all i have from the deconstructing of it all...
stopped in at ichabod's treasures the other day {you can read all about this fun store here}... i  spotted this little gem... went to pick it up today... can't wait to see what it will hold in my creative space...
had john snip this hanger for me so... i wrapped it in fabric... it will make a cute holder for my washi tape... {have to replenish my stock... the girls got a hold of it over christmas break... only 2 rolls left}
alrighty... brace yourself people... yikes... can't even believe i'm sharing this... my creative space that i keep mentioning is in shambles {that's putting it mildly}... everything that we're not sure what to do with ends up in this area... and when it's organized it is so cute... one of my "focus" goals for the year {read more on that here} is to get this space back on track... it's so much more pleasant to work when you know where everything is and it doesn't look like a hoarder situation...
here goes... just keepin' it real...
please don't judge...
this is just one corner of the space... christmas still needs put away {as you can see, there are parts of our tree and a lovely stroller box that stores outside wreaths and swags plunked right in the middle of the room... perfect spot, i know!}...
and that is a work surface to the left... although it doesn't look like much of one at the moment... it's gotten waaay out of hand up there...
seriously... please don't let this scare you off... i'm planning on an after post where it's all prettied up for ya... stay tuned for that...
made some cookies for the girls and john tonight... nothing fancy {the fundraiser cookie dough strikes again}... but i think even chips ahoy would be cute as long as they were piled up on a cake plate...
dinner dishes are done... such a good feeling... now i just have to put them away... love when i have a clean slate in the morning...
maizie is turning 11 on saturday... she picked out these cute invitations from hallmark... and she filled them out all by herself... first year for that...
one section that i did get slightly situated in my space was some of my books... that's some progress, i tell ya ;) i've been wanting to make some projects from each of these... and when i do, i'll be sure to share them with all of you...
while in my space today, i sorted some of my smash book supplies... looking forward to using some of this cute chipboard, fabric and bakers twine to make some cute tags for a friend of mine...

so there you have it... my first ten on ten... kinda fun...

have a happy day~
