one on one time...

i spent the morning hanging with my littlest...

we had to head out to purchase a birthday gift and she was up and ready to go at 7:30... when she knows there's something that needs done she's up and at 'em...

we headed to the mall when it opened...

she took her time finding the perfect gift for her little friend... we took a shopping break and had pretzel sticks at auntie anne's... i told her how nice it was to have some one on one time with just her... she said that she liked it, too...

i asked her what some of her favorite things to do were when we spend time together... she said that she likes taking walks together, shopping and making things together... that's just fine by me, sweet girl...
i'm an only child so i always had that one on one time growing up... sometimes in the busy of everyday it's easy for me to forget how important it is for each of my girls to have special time with just me... and if i'm being honest, i think i need it just as much as they do...

these moments are fleeting... so, tonight while the littlest is at the birthday party, my oldest and i are going to spend some time together and i'm so looking forward to it...

hope you're having a great weekend...

Oh that is so important! You are so smart to be carving out that precious time! They will always cherish it and I'm sure you will too.

Such a sweet post :) I don't give my kids nearly enough one on one time....and I honestly think they don't know what to do when they get it! Definitely something for us to work on!!
