one of my {many} favorite things...

on tuesday... while i should have been cleaning... i took a break... and headed over to ichabod's treasures and lou berry's...

it's been a little while and something was telling me that i needed to stop in...

i'm so glad that i did... they are continually switching up their shops... there's always something new to look at... and they even hang up magazine inspiration pictures of similar items throughout the store to get you thinking...

i love milk glass... it's one of my {many} favorite things... and i have a nice, little collection going... about a year or so ago, i found a snack tray/cup set... in milk glass... at an antique shop in columbus... don't ask me why, but i left it there... and i've been on the hunt for one ever since...

while at the store the other day, i walked over to the ichabod's side... and lo and behold... a treasure... a set of four milk glass snack trays and cups... the pattern is dogwood... and it was too cute to leave behind... so it came home with me...
{love the scalloped handles...}

i really wanted to use them so
i whipped up a little snack for us this morning... peanut butter banana wontons... it's such a beautiful day here, so we enjoyed them outside... and that made me happy!
 {i found the recipe for the yumminess above over at lemon tree dwelling... if you like to cook/bake, you should check out cathy's blog... she shares the best recipes... and some cute projects, too}

so how about you... have you found any treasures lately?

have a happy day~

supposed to post a post...

so the other night i was pretty excited...

 excited about the whole blog thing and i was talking with john about things i might want to talk about on here... i listed a few of them and then these words came out... "i wonder how often i'm supposed to post a post?" haha... supposed to post a post... try saying that out loud... it's pretty funny...

needless to say, i was laughing and so was he and in that moment i decided that i am worrying way too much about when i should post something, how many pictures i should add, or if i should be having a theme for different days of the week... i think i need to relax... there's really no need to over think it {and i tend to be an overthinker}... so i'm just going to share what's in my heart and on my mind at the time i sit down to write...  may sound a little random from time to time but i think sometimes random thoughts are good... it helps you focus on little things that sometimes you overlook, it helps you to sort your thoughts, and it helps you understand yourself a little better...

so without further ado... a little random from around here...

 have you tried this? it's fantastic... had some this morning... the caramel macchiato is my fave...

reading this right now... every single time i finish a nicholas sparks book i swear i'll never read another... why are they ALL SO SAD? saw a preview for the movie coming out for this one and it pulled me right in...

 fitness... it's so hard to stay disciplined... don't you agree? something i really need to get back to for myself... {bucket list... run a race... is that possible for a girl who has never even ran before?}

 my sweet maizie has a love for science and this is the terrarium she made last night... 5 bonus points for her right there...

 miss marina had the job of making her gingerbread look too sweet to eat... she designed the whole thing... her idea to grab a tiny paintbrush to add "real" blush to her cheeks...

i love milk glass... and the hobnail pattern is something i have a hard time passing up... tiny polka dots... can't go wrong with that... however i never, ever use taper candles... anyone interested in seeing what i'm going to do with these? tutorial coming soon... hopefully this week...

 and this little gem is why i must end this post... written final tomorrow and recorder final on friday for my early childhood music class... c-scale and my paddle... i will memorize you and you will not squeak...

have a happy day~
