a while back my mom and i were talking about restarting something we did a couple of years ago...
we each take some time to gather things that we know the other one will love and enjoy... we package it up all cute... and we call it a happy day surprise...
i stopped over at my moms yesterday and she surprised me with one...
check out the goodness in this basket below...
i was pretty excited because i get to keep the basket, too... {i kinda have a thing for wire baskets... locker baskets, egg baskets... that type of thing}... look at the tiny red thimble sitting on top of the glass vials of red and white beads... {love}
a close up... cute, patterned favor cups {by martha stewart}... a hand knit dish cloth with a cherry pattern... a neat, old vanilla bottle with smash booking trinkets {metal tags, snowflakes and brads}... some red piping to be used as a trim on something... red and white striped ribbon...
i mentioned to her that i would love to have some red and pink flowers like the ones she made for maizie and marina that they wore in their christmas picture {see here}... she made me two of each... can't wait to add the red and pink ones to their headband/neck warmer and hat for valentine's day... so cute! {i think i'll even turn one into a pin for me :)}...
and see that little heart punch peeking out of there? i have some big plans for it... {thanks, mom}... this basket made my day...
i've already started collecting things for the one i'm putting together for my mom... she'll be receiving her surprise one happy day in february...
{if you were to receive a surprise like this... what types of things would make you happy?}
have a happy day~
